As I sit here, with warm embers in the fireplace, delicious aroma of turkey basting in the oven, I am struck by the contemplation…

I can either be yearning for the things I do NOT have, or thankful for the things I already do.

But thankfulness is much more than “I’m grateful” thoughts or acclamations. Nor is it the occasional (more frequent during the holidays) “Thank you”s given to those around you. I’m talking about true thankfulness…one wrapped and deeply grounded in FORGIVENESS.

Thankfulness without the giving of forgiveness, is fake and stale…it’s dead.

Call, text or message someone today (you know who they are).

You may never get another opportunity. They will know. They will understand. No need to be direct. Just let them know you are thinking about them right now, at this moment.

A leader is defined by the depth of how much they can be hurt, failed and offended, and yet remain forgiving.” -JKO

You have a few hours left, before the day of Thanks-“Forgiving” is over.

God bless.
